We try to bring God's grace to the Church and to society as we are called to be faithful to the example of Jesus' ministry to all persons. Our faith is grounded in Christian tradition, enlivened by our experiences and tested by reason. We have a profound and deep calling to find our purpose and serve others with our own unique gifts and talents - and love for all of humanity.
Faith in action means that we do as we say. Our goals for our community - and for the world - are for peace, with justice for all humankind. In doing so, we believe that we must strive to be:
- Inclusive. A society where all persons are welcomed, accepted, and enabled to participate in the life of the Church, the community and the world.
- Respectful. Respect for the inherent worth of every person and the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
- Compassionate. Practicing our core principles of justice, equity and compassion for all.
- Social Witnesses. Bearing social witness by standing up for what is right and just.
- Exemplary. Setting an example of living as Jesus exemplified - especially for our children.
- Relevant. Opening our hearts, souls and spirits as we strive for higher meaning and spiritual connection in our lives.
- Committed. Dedicated to a continual search for truth and meaning in our lives.
- Ethical. Utilizing and supporting democratic process within our congregations and in society.
